Supernight goes monthly at The Social

Nottingham promoters Supernight are proud to announce their new residency at The Social, with the first of their monthly live music showcase gigs taking place on 16th February. Headliners Grain are one of Nottingham's most enjoyable live bands. Their distinctive sound mixes bluesy swamp-rock and hip hop influences with a Beefheart-like howl.

Support comes from The Dirty Backbeats, whose eclectic garage rock has been described as “a gypsy circus troupe with rabid Jack White ringmaster.” (The Fly) Accomplished Birmingham four-piece Liner open proceedings, their recent single 'Mirror' has drawn very favourable comparisons to the Clash and Hot Hot Heat amongst others.

Supernight will now be showcasing the best live music Nottingham (and beyond) has to offer on the third Thursday of every month at the Social. Musicians, artists, designers, film-makers and animators are all invited to contact Supernight with submissions and invitations to collaborate on future events. Check out
