A Kooky New Year at Fopp Stores
The Kooks will be hitting Fopp stores hard this January. The 11th of
January will see them playing sets at no less than four Fopp stores.
They'll open their one day tour at 9:00am with a gig in Bristol, then go
on to play an 11:00am show in the brand new store in Bath, followed by a 2:30pm slot in Reading, before rounding off the day with a 7:00pm slot
in the recently opened Brighton store. (Store addresses below)
The Brighton based band will be supporting the release of their new
single You Don't Love Me – out on January 9th. The album
Inside In/Inside out will follow on the 23rd of January. The Kooks are a skuzzy, fresh faced bunch – ready to fully restore your faith in the Holy Grail of the English singer songwriter.
The Kooks will now be part of the institution that is Fopp in-stores –
Franz Ferdinand, Starsailor, Magic Numbers and the holders of this
year's Christmas Number One slot – Nizlopi, have all played at Fopp
stores in recent years. Fopp's ability to provide a platform for cutting
edge bands to play to fans across its stores is being developed all the
time. Now that there are even more Fopp Stores there'll be even more
music…There are now 24 Fopp outlets in the UK, with the last few
months seeing three new stores open in London, along with further Fopp's springing up in Bath, Brighton, East Kilbride and Southampton.
