Robbie Williams’ sold-out album-launching show in Berlin in October will be brought to fans everywhere in a live and unedited broadcast in 23 cinemas across the UK and Europe. The first ever European High Definition ‘cinecast’ will present the exclusive Berlin show on large screens in cinemas and other alternative venues, allowing fans to have the closest experience possible to actually being there.
The eagerly anticipated show, which sold out within minutes, will be broadcast live from the Velodrom in Berlin on 9th October in high definition 5.1 surround sound to exclusive cinemas. In the UK the screenings take place in two digital cinemas in Manchester and Birmingham as well as two venues similar to those Robbie performed during his early solo career. In Ireland, the screening takes place at the Dublin Olympia, a venue Robbie sold out in 1997. In addition to the Berlin screening, fans can expect a night full of Robbie programming featuring an abundance of previously unseen footage as well as an exciting competition.
The broadcast will be brought to fans by The In Good Company and igig TV in association with T-Mobile. Robbie Williams and T-Mobile recently announced an 18-month partnership, which will enable fans to get closer to their favourite artist in a unique way. As international head sponsor and lead brand, T-Mobile will provide fans with a chance to hear truly exclusive content before it is released and to personalise their mobile phones with their favourite artist.
Selected venuesfor the UK include the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, the Odeon in Birmingham, Printworks UCI in Manchester, the Academy in Glasgow and the Waterfront in Belfast. Doors will open at cinemas across the UK and Europe at 5.30pm and the programme will commence at 6.15pm.
