Franz Ferdinand Play Exclusive Radio 1 Gig

Following a weekend which saw their new album leaked on the internet, Glasgow Art Rockers Franz Ferdinand played an exclusive gig at Scala in London last night (Mon 12th Sep) – for a Lamaq Live special on Radio 1.

Tickets to this one-off show were only available to winners of competitions run by the station – Vic Galloway having 2 pairs up for grabs on his show last Thursday.

Following the introduction “We're a group from Glasgow and we're called Franz Ferdinand” they played a set packed with songs old and new to a 700 strong crowd.

The show saw the first ever live performance of 'Walk Away', where the band were joined by Andy Knowles (Fiery Furnaces) on drums as drummer Paul Thomson strapped on a guitar.
