LONDON (March. 7th, 2005) – To kick-start the summer festival season, Budweiser, the King of Beers, is staging the music event of the year. Bud Rising is a live music festival from May 20-30, featuring the UK’s most exciting talent.
Headline artists include Starsailor, The Charlatans, The Bravery and the almighty Supergrass playing at venues across the capital’s main music villages — from Hammersmith to Shoreditch, Camden to Brixton. Music lovers also will get to see some of the hottest up and coming talent 2005 has to offer with a series of free “Rising” gigs, featuring fresh new bands and solo acts. Finishing off the Bank Holiday special we have Supergrass who has chosen to play with Thirteen Senses.
In a unique twist, the support acts at the London festival will be picked by the headliners themselves, rather than the promoters. Supergrass has elected the awesome Thirteen Senses to support them at KOKO. Bud Rising also is providing the stage for a host of cutting-edge talent including Out Hud, Swayzak, Kaos, Benjamin Diamond, Boozoo Bajou and Princess Superstar performing with DJs Are Not Rockstars.
Tickets for headline acts at Bud Rising can be won via in-bar promotions in more than 500 London bars, purchased via the Bud Rising ticket hotline, 0870 1432210 or online at link. “Rising” gigs featuring new talent are free, and a full list of artists, venues, dates and times can be found at this link: link.
