FuseLeeds at the Wardrobe

So you thought it was just a festival..well FuseLeeds just couldn't wait until 2006 to bring the best in new music to Leeds. So there back, and with a new regular series at The Wardrobe to show for it. And are kicking off with a real treat –

Self-titled indie-vaudeville conceptual art-rock pop band (phew!) the Trachtenburg Family join us following a month-long residency at the Edinburgh Festival where they've been attracting rave reviews. The band take vintage slide collections that have been found at car boot sales sales and charity shops and then turn the contents of these slides into weird and wonderful pop-musical exposés. Dad Jason plays piano, guitar and sings, mum Tina projects the slides and designs kitsch matching outfits for the trio and 10-year old daughter Rachel plays drums and sings – and in our view gives Meg White a run for her money!
