Glasswerk In The City

Glasswerk.co.uk, the independent UK promoters, announce their arrival at In The City for the first time with a weekend long shebang of an event running from 17th -19th September at the Dry Bar, Oldham St. With over 70 bands performing over the weekend on two stages it seems fairly obvious that this will be the biggest live event of the annual music industry festival.

Performing at Glasswerk In The City are a variety of bands who have played on Glasswerk.co.uk bills over the past year. Signed and unsigned artists, rock and indie, punk and metal – the event reflects the eclectic genre policy of Glasswerk with Saturday being indie orientated and Sunday being rock focussed.

Glasswerk.co.uk is proud of its community focus to promoting new music and so is able to find new and exciting talent before they hit the big time. With locally focussed promotions and website (www.glasswerk.co.uk) combined with the strength of a national promoter it is about time that Glasswerk made its ITC debut.

Tramp Attack – The original skiffle scousers, signed to Must Destroy Records.
B*movie Heroes – Worcester punk rock, signed to Spank Records.
Art Brut – Is it art? Is it Brut? NME favourites, signed to Rough Trade.
Kite – Norway hard rock, signed to Reel Noise Records.
The Koreans – Complex indie with melody, signed to Manchester’s Storm Records.
Lord Bishop Rocks – Larger than life sex rock.
Malibu Stacey – ex Terrorvison returns with new band, licensed to Townsend Records.
Day With Mary – ex Dog Flambe. Signed at 15 years old and back, older and wiser.
Cadium – Perennial metallic mayhem, being produced by Ace (Skunk Anansie)
28 Costumes – Debut single out soon on Spank Records
Steve Kennedy – Signed to Blacksheep Productions, stormed ITC last year.
Punish The Atom – Nottingham punk looking for a new deal, supported Lomax on tour.
Lovecraft – mere youngsters whose debut release it awaited with baited breath.
Distophia – Brummy angst, been on MTV and been on the NME tour.
