A one-night-only birthday concert featuring live sets from 3 of Manchester’s most rock ‘n’ roll, rock ‘n’ roll bands. Each band will include their own unique interpretation of a Hendrix song.

David Potts may best be known for his collaboration with New Order bassist Peter Hook on their top 10 – selling band Monaco. However, with his own project RAM, Pottsy has created something that fuses the retro with the new, something classic yet experimental – somewhere between The Beatles and Air. Already, RAM have released single “Different Planet” through the Every Home Should Have One label and are set to put out the fantastic “For Your Love” on London label, Headwrecker due 1st December. link

What can be said about Manchester’s favourite delinquent sons, The Brothers WDM, without using the word ‘bonkers’? While others preach blues, booze & bad news The Brothers stick firmly to the blues & booze, with a good dash of funky grooves! Brothers gigs are modern equivalents of 60s psychedelic be-ins where you never know what to expect except nutty rock ‘n’ roll mayhem. They’re getting fewer and more far-between so catch them while you can! link

The Washington Lees Experiment
Steve Washington is one of the UK’s top drummers – FACT. He’s played for Whitney Houston, Wet Wet Wet, Take That, Texas and about a million other notable musicians since he was 13! He loves playing jazz, rock, funk, latin, pop and recently hooked up with the Lees brothers from Glossop to form the incendiary blues-rock trio under their collective names (WLE). The music is loud, the skills are unsurpassable, and we can’t wait to hear their rendition of ‘Voodoo Chile’!
