After the overwhelming response from The Bridgewater Hall’s audience to concerts by The Cinematic Orchestra and The Gotan project, the architecturally stunning international concert venue are delighted to be partnering with key creative lights from Manchester’s music scene to present the gig of the In The City music convention.
Saturday 13th September – Twisted Nerve DJ’s, Aidan Smith, Toolshed plus a very special Twisted Nerve Guest. £14.50 & £12.50
The In The City line up begins with Twisted Nerve DJ in the foyers of The Bridgewater Hall. The mainstage is graced by Toolshed (headed by 808 State’s Graham Massey), whose live show comprises four sets of drums, five guitarists, brass and string sections, electronic wibbling and an amazing visual backdrop, following a performance by Eccles born singer-songwriter Aidan Smith.
A headline set by Twisted Nerve’s special guest means this will certainly be a gig to tell future generations about!
Sunday 14th September – DJ Bonobo, Alice Russell, Un-Cut & Nightmares On Wax. £14.50, £12.50 & £9.50
Sunday night starts with Tru Thought artists DJ Bonobo in the foyer and Alice Russel (lead vocalist with Quantic) on the main stage. Primary Talent bring Manchester’s own Un-Cut and a headline set from Nightmares On Wax, to complete the In The City programme.
“In The City is an important music event in the UK music calendar and The Bridgewater Hall is following its successful concerts by The Cinematic Orchestra and Gotan Project by supporting this event with two very different but very fresh adventures from the independent scene” – Howard Raynor, Chief Executive, The Bridgewater Hall.
