True Blood - Original Soundtrack
Album Review

True Blood – Original Soundtrack

As the TV show sores high in the ratings, the best thing for any producer to do is cash in while they can. So here comes the soundtrack. But for a show that has been running a while now you’d think they would have had enough music on the show to draw from. This CD unfortunately also includes songs that are “INSPIRED” by the show.

A curious description. Does this mean someone randomly grabbed the songs to throw on the CD, or does it mean that a band were so inspired by the show that they went out and wrote a song for it. Either way, the inspired album is always a cheat as it doesn’t include actually music or songs from the show or film it claims to come from. In shorter words: Cash In.

But you can at least see that the people in charge of this at least had a rough idea of the kind of music that they wanted to include. And if you can think as sleazy as South-Americana grind-rock can get then you are there.
