Tigers That Talked –

Tigers That Talked look like they may be a new force in the already populous British indie movement. The Black Heart, Blue Eyes EP is a clever piece of witty lyricism combined with raucous indie riffs.

The title track is a classically produced indie standard, combining pacey verses with a more sombre chorus which just needs the extra edge to tranform it into something special. This is followed by the contrasting sound of Smokescreen, where frontman James Williams outdoes Chris Martin at his own game, giving us what is essentially the perfect indie ‘ballad’ if you will.

Arguably the best track on the EP comes next. ‘The Electric Press’ has a chilling melody which works undeniably well with the haunting chimes and backing vocals.
It ends fantastically with an all-out Celtic attack in ‘Duet’, with the band’s violinist Glenna Larsen showing off her immense talent!

All in all, Tigers That Talked have produced an impressive and eclectic few tracks which showcase their diverse talents and abilities.
