video nasties –

Its difficult to know what to expect from a band called Video Nasties. Considering their name is taken from the glut of violent films which were banned by the BBFC in the 1980’s, you might expect something slightly exciting. The last thing you expect is a cheap Strokes knock off.

In fact these guys so exactly like The Strokes they may as well give up trying to make it as a group in their own right, change their name to Reptilia and become a Strokes covers band. Being influenced by your hero’s is acceptable; slavishly copying them is another, wholly worse road to go down.
