The Amateurs – Homesick EP

Despite there only being three tracks here, both of the songs that follow Homesick are easily as well produced. Matthew Colley’s vocal and piano work is fervent and stimulating.

Sometimes you hear a disc and you suddenly want to know when and where they are playing near you as you just know it’s a band that would do a good show. Some music was born for the stage, even if in this case that music be a small stage. But to get the right atmospherics, that is what’s needed for this music.
