Go Audio – Drive To The City

Digital rock tinkerers Go Audio, use the sauntering single of ‘Drive To The City’, to build up to the potentially reputation bolstering debut album, ‘Made Up Stories’(released 4/5/09).

With this delving offering, James Mathew’s uses his bouncy, but laboured vocals to fully exploit the electro tug. That will get mosh pits forming at Festivals like queues for the cash machine on the final day. Escapism lyrics give this offering universal appeal and a bit of yearning, urbane heart;

“Lets go mad and drive to the city; dance all night with your body pressed against me.
Stay out late and we’ll come back in the morning, let’s drive to the city.”

A mixture of buoyant percussion and mid-tempo beats are backed by sturdy guitars, meaning that the dance rock revival that has been flagging of late, could well have a new saviour.
