Cocean – Thick As Thieves

Not got much to go on with these boys but the scratchy gutter twins esque opening bars of ‘thick as thieves’certainly lay the table for a somber and melancholy dwelling.

It kind of plods along then kicks in with a standard rock riff and suddenly comes to a halt. If it suffers from anything it’s a lack of high vocals in the mix.

However ‘moving away to start again’ is a bit more of a kick up the arse. The title speaks for itself and certainly reflects a chance for new beginnings on the lyrics front. It’s a catchy foo fighters standard rock tune and that’s as much as it has to offer. Nothing new at all.
