Sam Isaac – Sticker, Star And Tape

That’s funny… Sometimes when listening to a lot of music for review you sometimes pick up a disc and you could swear that you just listened to it? But then this is not uncommon a thing in today’s industry… In fact it’s been this way for some time now. For every band that hits it big – there are hundreds of imitators out there that follow. Be this because they just happened to have the same ideas, or because it’s seen as an opportunity to cash in on a trend… Who can say? But it does make it slightly unfair for the band following up the rear. For all we know they could be doing the thing they most wanted to do, but they were beaten to the finish line by others before them.
So sometimes you have to reserve that kind of judgment – but at the same time admit to an audience that you will have heard this before… many times. It isn’t bad, it just isn’t new.
