Anonymous Tip – Not Your Orthodox
Another group of young men, hammering and screeching their heads off in this latest metal/rock output. The singer is perhaps maybe reminiscent of maybe a more shoutey version of ‘Faith No More’ original vocalist Chuck Mosely. Perhaps a metal version of ‘Annie’s Song’ is what they need to get noticed more?
The album has its moments of inspiration – but the tone is far too erratic and all over the place to ever settle in the mind properly. Perhaps the occasional tune needs to pick a tone and stick with it before running off on another screaming tangent. Showing that you can go from Rock to Reggae to metal is fine, Just don’t do it all in one song! Unless they plan on being the new Mr Bungle instead.
