Pope Joan – Hot Water, Lines and Rickety Machines

There are races of Ska Punk mixed with Electro Experimental. Take away anything resembling tradtional songwriting and you get the choas that is Pope Joan. The step away from tradion makes them hard to define, yet even explain what it is they are trying to do. It’s certainly the start of a journey that could end abruptly with maturity kicking in, or it may well delve beyond shouty lyrics and help mould the future of music experimentation. I guess it’s all down to the talent involved. For now though they will do as a convincing tension builder of a live act for the teen crowd, if indeed they are touring.
