Orphanboy – Stilettos

You might think that Pulp live again to listen to Orphan Boy’s latest single “Stilettos”. This is no theme tune for Sex And The City. Blunt yet poetic observations of everyday life are coupled with guitars reminiscent of Joy Division to create a lively and catchy single.

Yet, with the hype that follows Orphan Boy it is difficult to understand why when you listen to this single. You just have to assume that this is yet another band that blows you away in a gig only to be lost in the crowd once you try and tie them down to a recording.

So until you have a chance to catch them at a venue near you, have a listen to this and enjoy the odd poetry of the chorus, “woo oh stilettos”.
