Making a big impression with this single may be an over-statement but it’s a good try.
Idle lovers may have set themselves up for a fall with a title like that but this single bounces and rattles along cheerily enough that gives you the impression that they really wouldn’t care what reviewers may have to say, it sounds as if they are having far too much fun knocking out feel good indie ditties.
The raucous drumming and cribs-like guitars sit comfortably alongside the aahing and oooohing backing vocals of the chorus in a song about a girl. Even the slightest analysis of the track only serves to suck the fun out of a song that should be enjoyed bouncing around at the front of a gig or on a dancefloor with a beer in hand.
