‘Little Bit’ opens with tension building teases of electronic steal drums, accompanied by “oohs” and “aahs”. Then an easy listening beat slips in, along with angelically sweet vocals from the 21 year old Swede. Her voice repeats “little bit” lots and is reminiscent of Robyn or Nina from The Cardigans and the production is supplied by Bjorn Yttling from ‘Peter, Bjorn and John’ fame.
The b-side is much in the same vein with a slightly sparser backing track and “dance dance dance” repeated a lot. Ok she does have some verses but they are not exactly hard hitting insights into the enigma that is Lykke Li. Instead we have straight forward breathy, cutesy vocals and a flawless backing track. It must be the nth generation of Swede pop then.
