Anne Gomez (AG) is a Glaswegian Celtic folk singer who looks every bit the school music teacher and wears her wry grin to efficiently reflect the same surprisingly deep character that sounds loud and proud throughout her emotive, clean cut music. She also plays both the bodhran & mandolin wonderfully!

The Fox: Aside from being female, AGs somewhat piercing, quivering vocal and its surrounding vibe successfully echoes any acoustic track by The Hidden Cameras or any Art Garfunkel vocals, as well as, albeit fleetingly, hippy era American lady vocalists Joan Baez and (believe it or not) Grace Slick.

Sweet Colleen: Not straying to far from her previously proven forte, AG takes applies a more apprehensive tone to an equally well executed song here.

Thoughts Wi Rabbie (Adapt; of A Man’s A Man): Bagpipes lead us into what evolves into an enjoyable a cappella tribute track to AGs (and of course, many other Scots) hero Robert Burns.

Lady Mary: A more conventional instrumental backdrop supports AG as she delivers a more accessible vocal on a track that touches upon love: something of a more familiar and much welcomed subject matter for all of us non-Scots!

AG channels an uplifting, life affirming spirit through her very traditional music that, for those who relish such string driven ditties at least, will undoubtedly please as it offers up meaningful sounds to cherish by the bucket load.
