Chris Cornell must have the best surviving voice of the grunge era, having kept it fresh through his commitments with Audioslave, after the unbridled success that was Soundgarden. ‘Arms Around Your Love’ takes on a slow, lingering and almost soulful gait that reflects the maturing vocals and is plucked from Cornell’s second solo album. This time it looks like he is dedicating a deal of time and energy into this endeavour and this step towards Rufus Wainwright plains, could see him establish a whole new reputation.
