Freshly-formed, UK-based four-piece DEAD ROMANTIC have unveiled a stunning acoustic version of their latest single ‘Yesterday’, complete with video of the band in session.
The newly released video, filmed at guitarist and producer Mike Krompass’ The Outlook Studio in Yorkshire, gives fans a taster of what’s to come at the band’s first ever live show at Whittles Oldham on 25th June.
‘Yesterday’ is “a song about refusing to be consumed by negativity or darkness from a toxic relationship. It’s a message to anyone who feels down or stuck in a dark place to break free from it and move forward, it says ‘I’m not going to allow you to make me feel like this, you’re not going to drag me down,'” says vocalist Dan Taylor. The original music video has already clocked up almost a million views on YouTube in less than a month and has been added to the Kerrang! TV playlist, with the single also in rotation at Kerrang! Radio.
Dead Romantic’s forthcoming debut album ‘Voices’ is set for release 3rd September. The record was produced by the band’s guitarist Mike Krompass, who is also a multi-platinum record producer, and features collaborations with Zakk Cervini (Yungblud, Bring Me The Horizon, Architects), Emmy winner and six time Grammy Nominated songwriter Steve Diamond (Orianthi, Eric Clapton), and is mastered by Ted Jensen (Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Flower).
Expressing a sound that draws from the heaviest riffs to radio pop sensibilities, listeners can expect bleeding powerful riffs, crushing grooves, and anthemic vocals from the album.
Guitarist Mike Krompass says “We’ve made the record we’ve always wanted to create, completely unchained, raw, and filled with the best elements of everything we love about music. There’s a little bit of metal and a lot of rock that we hope can connect with people around the globe.”
