DEAD ROMANTIC release music video for new track ‘Kissed With a Lie’

Metallic rock four-piece DEAD ROMANTIC have released a new track ‘Kissed With a Lie’ alongside a theatrical music video. This is the second to be released from their upcoming debut album ‘Voices’, which is set for release 3rd September. It follows on from last month’s release of ‘Yesterday’, the music video for which has already racked up over one million views on YouTube. The huge single was described by Rock Sound as “monolithic” and added into regular rotation at Kerrang! Radio and Kerrang! TV. 

“This new song is about not wanting to be wrapped up in lies just because it’s more comfortable,” says bassist Chris Harrocks. “It’s about living the truth and, although that might be painful sometimes, it’s better than bullshit.”

Vocalist Dan Taylor adds, “My dad has always told me that liars are the worst kind of people, and I think that still stands to a certain degree even when the lie is told to save your feelings. This song is about not wanting to hear lies just to make you feel good. It’s like don’t talk shit, I want the truth, even if it hurts.” 

“For the video, we played with fire to match the chaos of the crazy heavy riff,” says Dan. “We got a fire eater to play this kind of demonic representation of lingering doubt and darkness and she was awesome; breathing fire and throwing fireballs around. It was insane!” 

The forthcoming album ‘Voices’, produced by the band’s guitarist Mike Krompass, who is also a multi-platinum record producer, features collaborations with Zakk Cervini (Yungblud, Bring Me The Horizon, Architects), Emmy winner and six time Grammy Nominated songwriter Steve Diamond (Orianthi, Eric Clapton), who co-wrote ‘Kissed With A Lie’ amongst other tracks, and is mastered by Ted Jensen (Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Flower).

Expressing a sound that draws from the heaviest riffs to radio pop sensibilities, listeners can expect bleeding powerful riffs, crushing grooves, and anthemic vocals from the album. Guitarist Mike Krompass says “We’ve made the record we’ve always wanted to create, completely unchained, raw, and filled with the best elements of everything we love about music. There’s a little bit of metal and a lot of rock that we hope can connect with people around the globe.”
