Lacey Release Long Awaited New Album This Is All We Are

Five years of work across multiple countries. Months of build up. Four fantastic singles. After all of this, Lacey’s brand new album This Is All We Are is here. The Nottingham alt-rock quartet are delighted to present their new record; the culmination of several years worth of effort, passion and songwriting craft.

Featuring the lead single, the highly successful Dream In A Little Less Colour, subsequent singles I Always Tell The Truth (Even When I Lie), Run Away and current single Middle England, Lacey describe This is All We Are as “14 tracks of lyrical darkness wrapped in a shiny, anthemic, pop package”.

Lead singer Graham Turner describes the record as:

“Basically, the soundtrack to what it’s like to feel everything and nothing, all at the same time. Lyrically, no stone is left unturned, and I can guarantee if you’ve ever felt anything, it will be addressed here. This really is a soul bearing ride through every, conceivable human emotion. This is all we are”.

This Is All We Are is Lacey’s first new album in five years, coming as the follow up to the 2018 album I Don’t Owe The World A Thing. The album was recorded at Steel City Studio in Sheffield and produced by Phil Gornell from the studio who also handled mixing duties. Engineering was handled by Callum Benson, also of Steel City Studio while mastering was done by Grant Berry of Fader Mastering.

The most recent single from This Is All We Are, “Middle England”, finds Lacey in a thought provoking mood. The song is a power ballad with a punch to it, lamenting on the up’s and down’s of the current state of life in Lacey’s homeland.

Lacey frontman Graham “Graz” Turner describes Middle England as “reflective of the typical English sentiment of looking on the bright side, things could be worse.”
