LASTELLE release expansively epic new single ‘Bitter Seeds’
LASTELLE have revealed another expansively epic composition with their new single ‘Bitter Seeds’, out today via YOU RANG? RECORDS. Bassist, vocalist and brass player Freddie Whatmore says “Bitter Seeds was born out of the frustration caused by one-way, parasitic relationships. This song explores the idea that “misery grows company”; how toxic feelings and traits are infectious and, if left unchecked, can leave you bitter, resentful, and cynical.”
The very essence of emotion, ‘Bitter Seeds’ features on LASTELLE’s new collection of tracks ‘Exist – vol ii’, which is set for release in full on 12th September and completes their ‘Exist’ project. ‘vol ii’ also includes the previously released single ‘Tired Eyes’ – a track “about how love can make you choose to be blind to issues in a relationship, and the mental toll taken when trying to pull back together a relationship that’s unwillingly, although not unexpectedly, falling apart,” as guitarist Jonjo Williams says. ‘Tired Eyes’ was spun by Alyx Holcombe on BBC Radio 1 Introducing Rock and Alex Baker on Kerrang! Radio Fresh Blood, as well as appearing in the Kerrang! Chart with Already Heard praising its “well-balanced blend of atmosphere, raw emotion, and impassioned melodic hardcore.”
